Happy Canada Day!!

Happy Canada Day everyone! I hope it is full of fun, food, family, and fireworks!!!

Here are some tasty Maple Cupcakes with a Vanilla Bean Swiss Meringue Buttercream to help you celebrate!

Red and White Cupcakes - Happy Canada Day!

These cupcakes were actually made for a bridal shower last weekend, but since the arrival of the new addition (our second dog in 4 months, Banjo) to the household, I found that I ran out of time to make an awesome Canada Day themed dessert! So since these are red, white, and cupcakes, I figured that they were more than appropriate for a Canada Day post on this site :)

I made the bows out of fondant and let them dry the day before, then they were placed on top of chocolate cupcakes topped with vanilla bean swiss meringue buttercream.

The rest of the cupcakes were decorated with dots of red icing, clean and simple!

So grab a beer, fire up the BBQ, and have a fabulous Canada Day!
