England and Scotland - October 2011

As we are currently far far away, I have some scheduled posts that are going up.  If you have any questions or comments please let me know and I'll be sure to get back to you when we get home!

As I mentioned last week, I cannot believe that I never shared the pictures from the trip that I took with my Aunt last October!  The two of us went on a whirlwind self-led tour of England and Scotland. It was an absolute blast!

We decided to stay in Bed and Breakfasts and that was definitely a neat experience.  While in London, England we toured as hard as we could! We saw all of the awesome site: Big Ben (my favourite),

Westminster Abbey,

Buckingham Palace and the Changing of the Guard,

the London Eye (which we also got to go in!),

walked along the River Thames, shopped and had tea at Harrod's (amazing),

visited Windsor Castle,

toured the Tower of London and saw the Tower Bridge,

climbed to the very top of St. Paul's Cathedral,

ate more fish and chips than a person should (but never got sick of them)

and tried as many local pints of beer as we possibly could!

In the middle of our trip we took the train (from King's Cross Station! Any Harry Potter fans out there?)

from London, England to Perth, Scotland. It was so wonderful! We got to see how the country side changed as we drove up along the East coast of the UK.  So beautiful.  The highlight of our time in Scotland had to be golfing at St. Andrews Golf Course, the home of golf!

We golfed 18 and I think we did a preeeettttyy good job playing where the pros do!  And the sheep! Our B and B was out in the country so we went to sleep every night, and woke up every morning, to the noisy sheep! It was hilarious.

We had such an amazing time, and I was so happy that I was able to share this experience with my Aunt. It was too much fun!

Hey Auntie, when's our next trip?
